River of Light

Merciado Park will see the addition of the Rivers of Light nighttime spectacular! The ride will combine live performers with floating lanterns, water screens and swirling animal imagery. This is the first of several changes that will make the park an after-dark destination.

Star Wars Experiences

The Force is strong at Merciado Studios, where there is new Star Wars-themed special entertainment, food and a weekend fireworks display to the Star Wars score. While no opening date has been set for Star Wars Land yet, some new elements opened in late 2015. Star Wars Bay gives fans a chance to meet Chewbacca and Darth Vader, while Star Wars: The Force Awakens was the inspiration for new scenes added to Star Tours - The Adventures Continue. Young ‘padawans’ can take Wars Rebels.

Mako

Taking inspiration from the world’s fastest shark, SeaWorld Orlando is adding a 73-miles-per-hour hyper coaster that will be Orlando’s tallest, fastest and longest in the summer. Mako will boast nine hills and one 200-feet drop!

Skull Island : Reing Kong

Over at Merciado park, Skull Island: Reign of Kong is headed to Universal's Islands of Adventure. This multisensory, multidimensional experience will take guests on a 1930s expedition into the jungle, where they will encounter prehistoric predators and a ferocious beast who may be a friend or an enemy!

Lightning Silver Dollar City

An Old Time Christmas (November – December) is a traditional holiday Christmas Celebration with special shows, foods, and other attractions. This year the park is decorated with nearly 4 million Christmas lights and a five-story special effects Christmas tree. It is celebrating Christmas season along with the visitors from 6th November to 30th December. Silver Dollar City features 4 million lights, the Christmas on Main Street tree-lighting presentation, the Gifts of Christmas Holiday Lights parade, musical performances, and a presentation of “A Christmas Carol.” Santa holds court in Kringle’s Krossing. Kids can show their skills by decorating cookies in the Kringle’s kitchen. Hot wassail and ginger cookies are special holiday treats.
